FENCE FIX-UPS
Your fence is a backdrop for everything else you put in the garden, and a coat of paint can help set the scene perfectly. Dark colours make the plants in front of them really stand out. Give an old timber fence a clean with a pressure washer first. Or, if your old fence is past it, consider a new Colorbond steel fence (colorbond.com), which comes coated with the colour so you won’t need to repaint.
For you to note
Check your local council regulations for restrictions on the size and placement of retaining walls.
