Winged warriors

BLONDE RAYS ARE FIRMLLY established as a regular and much-anticipated fixture with anglers who fish the Bristol Channel. While a few of these extremely strong fish are caught year-round, the onset of autumn invariably heralds  the start of the very best fishing.

The most productive area for blonde rays is located at the eastern end of the Bristol Channel, off the Welsh coastline between Aberthaw and Cardiff. Marks in and around Barry and Sully Bay, along with various offshore banks, produce plenty of fish. Wherever you fish in this area you will always have a better than even chance of hooking a blonde.
