He then started to consider the whole process of what he would need to do to become an engine owner. He put a few feelers out, including talking to nearby engine owner and fellow tractor enthusiast Richard Pocock, who suggested he had a chat with boiler inspector Dave Wothers. Dave was particularly helpful as he knew the engine owners and what might be available, or becoming available, and of course had the knowledge on the conditions of the boilers and what work had been carried out over the years.
