The new Brazilians
Kermit Erasmus
While his quality can never be doubted, you can also never be sure about the application and consistency in delivering the end-product with Erasmus.
On his best days he can be deadly, yet can also be frustrating with a tendency of failing to kill off chances, and has a tendency not to finish games. He scored 14 goals in all competitions last season for Cape Town City, which was only the second time he had reached double figures in the last decade.
Erasmus has moved around a bit since his early days at SuperSport United, but Sundowns will hope they can get the best out of the 30-year-old who now has experience to go with raw talent.
George Maluleka
The most experienced of the new signings arrives at Chloorkop from Kaizer Chiefs to accomplish a dream that he held growing up in Tembisa, and then while coming through the ranks at University of Pretoria.
Maluleka will have to squeeze his way into that congested central midfield and will bargain on his versatility. He can play deep, while he can also be used in advanced positions like was the case when he played at TUKS and in the youth national teams.
