GREAT Central’s eighth 80-lot fortnightly internet, email, telephone and postal auction that ended on from No. 5097, which went for £9600. The 4-6-0 was built at Swindon in July 1939, the last new member of the class to enter traffic before the onset of the Second World War, and ended its career in March 1963 when a resident of Cardiff East Dock (88L).
