Packing a punch!

I am back reassembling my marvellous investment motorcycle after a bit of time fettling.

This fettling has included rebuilding the gearbox, having most of the zinc-plated fasteners and brackets re-plated, rebuilding the forks and spending out on having the heads and barrels subjected to the Smethurst treatment; I may as well have started with an obvious shitter (as I usually do) and saved myself a load of money. If I can get ‘done over’ with all my experience, then it is a lesson to us all – when you go to buy a bike go through the bike with a fine tooth comb because, believe me, when money is involved, friendships can come a poor second to hard brass.
