Focusing: Automatic via 105-point wide-area system using phase-detection type CCD sensor with all cross-type arrays (15 with f/8.0 lens speed). Focus points may be selected manually or automatically and either as single points or in Dynamic-area AF groups (9, 25, 49 or 105), plus Group-area AF with a five-point zone, and Group-Area AF C1 and C2 modes which enables customised detection zones (shape and number of points, 17 pattern options). Points re-orientated for vertical shooting. One-shot and continuous modes both with a predictive function. 3D Tracking, face/eye detection and face recognition modes. Sensitivity range is EV -4.5 – 20 (ISO 100). AF assist provided by built-in illuminator. Contrast detection autofocusing in live view mode and with video recording – with Face-priority AF, Wide-area AF, Normal-area AF and Subject-tracking
