When we see a new vehicle like the Hoss 4x4 VXL we start to suspect that the technical team at Traxxas must include a couple of genetic engineers. How else do you explain how they manage to produce new vehicles of such profoundly different character using common strains of RC DNA? When Traxxas released the redesigned Rustler a while back they called it a “stadium truck” but right from the outset we noticed some monster truck DNA hiding beneath its sleek profile.
Those monster traits are hidden no more with the release of the new Hoss—instead they are amplified thanks to an impressive lineup of new hardware, resulting in a truck that looks and drives quite differently than its little brother. And yet several of the core structures are shared which allows Traxxas to offer the Hoss at a price that is only slightly more expensive than the Rustler.
