Carly couldn’t believe how quickly the time had passed.

In another three months it would be seven years since she’d started working at Mirabelle’s clothes shop.

Unlike most of her school friends, who’d all wanted to be nurses, teachers or beauticians, Carly had always wanted to work in the fashion industry.

One of the best things about Mirabelle’s was that she could buy clothes she liked at wholesale prices.

Sometimes, there were even factory rejects or samples for free, and since Carly was a size 16 (unlike most of the other girls working there, who were all skinny) she got her pick of what was on offer.
