Big Game and Old-Car Enthusiasts

The first road sign heralding our thrilling adventure announced Trans-Kalahari Highway, signifying the motorway that crossed the Kalahari Desert. The warning behind it seemed a bit redundant; it merely stated “Sand.” We were heading off on a three-week road trip in southwest Africa, in the country of Namibia, in search of the classic African safari experience: spotting wildlife in its natural habitat.
