ICOM FIXED VHFS TWO MODELS UPDATED

Icom has updated two popular fixed marine VHF radios, the IC-M423G and IC-M400BB. With an ‘E’ added to the name, the IC-M423GE and IC-M400BBE are almost identical to their predecessors but now feature integrated GPS and an external GPS antenna to meet the latest ITU-R M493-14 regulations.

IC-M423GE (£329.99) has built-in noise cancelling technology and an optional Commandmic to control the functions and use as an intercom with the radio. The higher-spec (£479.99) IC-M400BBE ‘black box’ can be installed out of sight, and controlled by Commandmic for operation of DSC, radio, foghorn and hailer horn from the cockpit. www.icomuk.co.uk
