    Brunhilde was a mighty warrior queen, and wise in the ways of magic. The god Odin chose her to lead his female warriors, who were called Valkyries.

    Brunhilde was a fearsome sight as she thundered across the battlefield in full armour with a flock of ravens flying around her, choosing which warriors would fall in battle and go to Odin’s hall in Valhalla.
