ntangling the series takes some doing, because the entire shebang completely fails to fit together, with and leading into and ends with in 2002 (which also kills her brother Michael, in a sense, given that it’s the final film of the original franchise). Alternatively, audiences can follow Myers and his obsession with his niece Jamie Lloyd (originally played by Danielle Harris) and psychiatrist (Donald Pleasence), central to and the next two increasingly clumsy sequels. Rob Zombie’s woeful 2007 reboot and its follow-up (2009) keep the brother/sister connection and are self-contained, while 1982’s is a standalone, Myers-free outing about a deranged mask-maker.
