I don’t agree with their parenting

Q My daughter and son-in-law always ask their children, who are eight and nine, what they think a fit punishment is when they’ve done something wrong. Sometimes the children suggest something really hard to keep up, like no television for a month, and sometimes they suggest things that are too lax for the offence.
