German organ recital races ahead towards 2022

On 5 September, music enthusiasts congregated at the church in Halberstadt,for organ that has been going on since 2001. Composer Julian Lembke and soprano Johanna Vargas placed two pipes into the organ so that the notes of G sharp and E were added to those of C, D flat, D sharp, A sharp and E that have been sounding since October 2013. The G sharp will be but a fleeting presence, though, as it is due to stop sounding at the next change of notes in February 2022.
