SWEET LOVING
Standing in the crowded room, I held onto my water as my colleagues sipped on their drinks. I was at the first social event for our LGBT + Network group that we’d set up at work.
Our employer, Govia Thameslink Railway, had been super supportive and allowed myself and six other colleagues to set up the group.
Our aim was to educate other employees within the company about acceptance and diversity.
We wanted everyone to feel safe and supported, so this event was really important.
