Quilter's HOLIDAY BLOCK OF THE MONTH PART 5

We hope you are enjoying your Quilter’s Holiday — for many of us it may be the only holiday we get this year! This issue shares the patterns and instructions for Panel 5 — the last panel of the quilt — the Homecoming — and the bottom border — Border 2.

Stitches used:

Backstitch, French knot, satin stitch

Finished size:

276 x 230cm (108 1/2 x 90 1/2in)

Note: Refer to the Fabric Key for the specific fabrics Tone used for her quilt. Instructions are provided for freezer-paper appliqué stitched by hand, but they can be readily adapted to suit another method if you prefer. Note, however, that the appliqué shapes do not include seam allowances — you need to add them when cutting the fabric. Seam allowances of 1/4in are used throughout for the piecing. Instructions are given for working from
