‘It feels calm, but not boring’

HOW CARRIE AND ED DID IT

‘When we moved here, we decided to extend and build a new master) to help. She planned the layout and helped us choose fittings. It was money well spent, as we were struggling with ideas that didn’t go together and she had the technical know-how to liaise with the plumbers and builders. Fitting the bathroom took six weeks and cost £8,000, while the building work was £7,000. I wanted a tranquil look, but not bland or boring. Top of my list were twin basins, a walk-in shower and a deep, free-standing bath to relax in. The design is a mix of contemporary and period style, so it fits in with the rest of our home. I love the touches of pink and brass, but the bath under the beautiful sash windows is my favourite feature.’
