This trail, one of three machine-made ‘trail bike’ downhill runs and the jewel in Grenoside’s crown, is taped out every spring for the wildly popular Steel City DH race. A few miles north of Sheffield and easily reached from the M1, the area was pivotal as one of the first in the country where mountain biking properly took hold and, subsequently, where the kind of downhill racing we know today was born.
