Inclusion of the slip-plane safety tech, designed to protect your brain from rotational forces, means expense has had to be spared elsewhere, by limiting additional features. Just two sizes are on offer – a one-size-fits-most option and an XL. This leaves the helmet looking quite bulky on smaller heads. The retention cradle can’t be adjusted vertically, but the standard size will fit a broad spectrum of head diameters, with the fit altered via an easy-to-grab turn-wheel. While the cradle is unpadded, it’s well-shaped and comfortable. Airflow through the 13 vents is decent, but the thick liner padding can collect up, and then dump, sweat during hotter, slower climbs.
