THE INSIDE STORY

IRENE FORTE AT HOME FOR GROOM SERVICE

Making guests feel special is her family’s Forte, and that was the case when hotelier Sir Rocco Forte’s youngest daughter Irene married startup entrepreneur Felix Winckler in what was described as “a very intimate family affair” at London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall (above left). Director of wellness for the hospitality empire and founder of her own skincare company, 31-year-old Irene looked glowing in photos that she later released on Instagram.

And in the ultimate suitable match, the bride ensured both she and Felix, 35, wore the trousers on their big day. Putting a stylish spin on a white wedding, Irene (left) teamed an Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo jacket with wide-legged Claire O’Connor trousers, completing her look with a chic veiled pillbox hat and heels.

Uploading the photos to social media, she captioned them with her wedding date: “19.09.20.” She later shared more details and thanked those responsible for pulling together both her look and the finer details. Among them was Irene’s mother Aliai, who organised the wedding breakfast (below) in the garden of her and Sir Rocco’s Chelsea town house, and her sister Lydia, who supplied “endless advice”.

After announcing their engagement in January on Instagram (above), the couple had reportedly planned to marry in Sicily, but had to rethink because of Covid-19.
