AMAZULU
EXPECTATIONS: There was no doubt from many observers th it would be another difficult season for Usuthu, who had not finished inside the top eight since 2011/12. They started the campaign with Cavin Johnson as coach, but failed to fix the problems of the season before, where a leaky defence was the third worst in the 2018-19 campaign.
REALITY: Johnson was axed five games in and replaced by Jozef Vukuši?, before he too was essentially sacked in early March when he was suspended and replaced by rookie Ayanda Dlamini. They only escaped on the final day, but under Dlamini lost just one of their last seven games in a marked improvement in form.
WHERE THEY MUST IMPROVE: The big question now will be whether they stick with Dlamini, who has shown plenty of promise, or go for a more experienced hand. They were far too reliant on Bongi Ntuli, who scored 13 of their 20 league goals, and will do well to hang on to him into next season.

BAROKA FC
EXPECTATIONS: In many ways, Baroka have been amazingly consistent after finishing in 14th position for the third season in a row. They had seemingly made strides under former coach Wedson Nyirenda, winning the Telkom Knockout last season, but it always looked like another year of struggle.
They avoided the play-offs in the dying minutes of the campaign under coach Dylan Kerr, who joined in December after Nyirenda quit. An inability to pick up points at home was really their undoing, they had the worst record in
