How do you train to win the National 10? We decided to ask Emily Meakin, who on 30 August took the title with a 20:45 (28.9mph) clocking on the H10/3R course, 12 seconds faster than team-mate Alex Clay in second. For 2020, Meakin signed a road racing contract with Drops, while continuing to time trial with The Independent Pedaler. The 31-year-old is also reigning National 25 champion, and fits in training around her work as a pharmaceutical sales rep. Here, she tells us about a peak week of ‘10’ preparation from mid-August.
