Growing up in Kingston upon Hull as a 15-year-old and watching the likes of Hull Drifters SC members, Steve Robins and Ian Jacobs, stripping and rebuilding Lambrettas in the early 1980s he was hooked on the Italian machines. Jump forward 40-ish years and now it’s Russ who’s spending hours in his garage messing about with Lambrettas.

One Christmas, Russ’s wife Leanne surprised him with a Vespa T5 Mk1 as a present; all his memories came flooding back of the scene he used to watch from a distance and along with a group of like-minded Hull lads, the Hull Drifters SC was reborn.
