How did you end up at Celtic in 1998?
To be honest, I didn’t expect it. When I was 33, I signed for Duisburg in Germany and my plan was to finish my career there or maybe in Austria, as it’s near Slovakia. But I wasn’t happy and wanted to leave. I had one offer from a Japanese club, but Duisburg wanted too much money for me. Then Jozef Venglos contacted me about joining Celtic. It wasn’t my plan, but I was happy. In the beginning I signed for only 18 months, but everything went well so I stayed for another two years.
