The recently reviewed Output Thermal boasts a unique and mesmerising GUI, as well as advanced controls over processing chains behind the scenes. Though it’s billed as a fiery distortion plug-in, it’s capable of more than fireworks thanks to its additional modulation tools via a couple of envelopes and X/Y pad-assigned macros. It sports a hefty amount of presets to get you going too. Not just a top-tier distortion, then, but a creatively stimulating sound-design tool to boot.
