Going wild in the country

’ve always loved wildas a teenager – but I concede they’re not for everyone. I have a real soft spot for the moors of West Penwith, above Zennor in the far west of Cornwall, yet what I see as bleak grandeur, swept by Atlantic winds, just makes my wife shudder! Luckily, however, she does share my enthusiasm for another of my favourite UK landscapes, the hauntingly beautiful glens north of Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands.
