Cashing in on the company’s prowess in truck making during the war was a no brainer for the marketing folks at Dodge. The Power Wagons had gained the marque an enviable reputation for building tough, powerful trucks, as evidenced in this ad.

Returning to an old theme, Dodge reminds readers how “The bigger Dodge Dollar buys a far bigger value” and how “The big rugged Dodge is just a few dollars more than the lowest-priced cars!” It’s a fine balancing act, making out Dodges were bigger and ‘ritzier’, but still within shooting distance of the entry-level model Plymouths, Fords or Chevrolets.
