INTEREST-FREE CREDIT?

I remember buying on lay-by as a teenager. Jet had a red and orange jersey that I had fallen in love with. I did not have the money to buy it and, in those days, store cards were unheard of – and certainly not available to a teenager. I put the jersey on lay-by and paid it off over three months.

The lay-by system allows a customer to commit to a payment plan, interest-free, and only take possession of the item when
