Conclusion
Most of the trail helmets in this test feature a MIPs liner, or similar system, to help dissipate those oblique impact forces. Quite a few use a dual-density EPS for different levels of impact, and new materials like WaveCel and Koroyd, which function in a similar way to MIPs, but also improve ventilation and heat management.
