Nits! Lyndsey couldn’t believe it as she stared into the jug of water and saw the tiny specks.
She smiled. Despite being within spitting distance of a big, very adult birthday, she was under attack from a childhood complaint.
Tugging the metal comb through her hair – slick with conditioner – she then dipped it into the plastic jug.
Lyndsey knew who’d given them to her. Jodie, her youngest, had just started at a local school.
Mind you, Jodie with her lovely, long, blonde hair would not have been the origin of the creatures.
