HOW TO manage your money as a freelancer

The world is changing and the traditional commute to and from an office for a 9am to 5pm day is slowly falling away. More people are exploring their talents and skills that are unrelated to traditional employment, and they must find time to acquaint themselves with their personal finances.

Traditionally, your employer would make sure that your tax was paid over to the taxman each month, provide you with an IRP5 during tax season and give you the opportunity to save for your retirement, but, as a freelancer/entrepreneur, you have to take care of all these things (and more) yourself.
