Lockdown has provided some fresh thinking time, with the result that I’ve now taken to the 16x9 framing format, especially as my photography usually ends up in photo books. A double-page spread gives an ideal setting for this format. You might lose some pixels because of the shallower depth than, say, the standard 4x3 but so far the results have been more than satisfactory. Not every picture opportunity is right for this switch, of course, but looking at scenes with fresh eyes has brought a different and very useful slant.
