Setting sail with hope in their hearts for a better Future

t’s been quite a year hasn’t it – and we’re only three-quarters in! Yet with the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the to remember we certainly have a story and ideas of how to trace your kin back to the 17th century. One of the reasons that the voyage of the Pilgrims has resonated down the centuries, on both sides of the Atlantic, has got to be the inspiring example that they set us, of courage and dreams for a better world even in the face of troubling times – something we can relate to particularly at the moment. If nothing else, the past few months have got to have reminded us of how precious the simple things are – the ability to go about our daily lives as we choose, our health and of course our families – and it certainly seems also that many of us are finding the time to immerse ourselves even more in our family history. So, let’s remember our ancestors and all they can teach us – here’s to an Autumn filled with fascinating family history discoveries. Enjoy!
