GRAND HOTEL TREMEZZO

Unlike many of its Lake Como neighbours, which began their lives as the summer residences of aristocratic families and were only converted into hotels once the fortunes of their former owners dwindled, Italy’s Grand Hotel Tremezzo was purpose-built in 1910 to welcome the smart set on vacation. There is pampering in the spa in the adjacent 18th-century Villa Emilia
