Sunrise Cutting Horses

"You ride horses better when you ride better horses."

Dawn O’Reilly was born on the Riverina. Her father was a returned RAAF pilot in WW2 who took on a soldier settlement block on the Liverpool Plains which he operated as a wheat farm. Dawn undertook her high school Education at Calrossy girls’ boarding school Tamworth. Riding horses from an early age, attending Pony Club, playing Polocrosse and Campdrafting. A chance meeting in 1973 with Canadian farmers touring Australia offering Dawn a sponsorship to work in Canada, so she packed up her working dogs and headed off to Alberta for 12 months and returned home 15 years later. Dawn now calls Tamworth home where she operates Sunrise Cutting Horses.
