Die Cast X COLLECTOR’S GUIDE
Our annual Collector’s Guide is really like nothing else we do in the pages of Die Cast X throughout the year. Instead of getting up-close on a single model and focusing on its intricate details, the Guide is a chance for us to take a step back and look at the big picture. Contemplating dozens, even hundreds of models as part of a single overall story is a great way to spot emerging trends, and getting input from manufacturers and retailers at the same time and about the same story gives an excellent snapshot about the state of the hobby. We get to see it all, and hear it from the source — all at one time. We see cutting edge cars and innovative manufacturing techniques expanding the choices and the quality of those choices. But diecast has always been about celebrating automotive history as well, so we’ve got some familiar favorites coming back around to trigger nostalgia in seasoned collectors while also seeking out new enthusiasts. It’s the best of both worlds really. But don’t take our word for it—turn the page and see for yourself as we present the 2020 Die Cast X Collector’s Guide!

Part of ACME’s ever-growing Street Fighter series of resto-mod/pro-touring muscle cars, this GForce 454 SS is ready to carve corners like no Chevelle has before. ACME Trading Company 1970 Ford Mustang Pork Chop’s Barn Find Boss 429
$180 ➲ Item no. A1805517
Porkchop is ACME’s resident shade-tree mechanic, and the models in his series depict rough-edged project cars like this Barn Find Boss. It comes with a patina of rust and grime on the Grabber Orange paint, plus a pile of spare parts and even a raggedy old trailer to haul it all away to the shop for restoration!
American Muscle 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE
$100 ➲ Item no. AMM1215
For over 50 years the Charger has been one of the most popular muscle cars. Its distinctive Coke-bottle styling trend was copied by many other models. For 1970, the front grille extended the full width of the car, surrounded by a chrome bumper. This diecast replicates the never-subtle FM3 Panther Pink color with 440 blackout hood treatment, a black interior with Special Edition trim details, white bee stripe, and a J81 rear spoiler. Under the hood is a 440 Six-Pack.
American Muscle 1969.5 Plymouth Road Runner
$100 ➲ Item no. AMM1232
Next in Auto World’s ongoing “Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals” release is their replica of Bruce Bartle’s 1969.5 Plymouth Road Runner.
