INTERNATIONAL ZINE SCENE

Kanstellation Magazine is a new zine and its editorial team aim to ‘present a thematic collage of what it means to be human in the digital age.’ Submissions are currently open for issue 3 and the team want writers to explore the idea that ‘the internet has become a significant social laboratory for experimenting with the reconstructions of self – an experiment that can help or hinder our selfhood.’ Read the two back issues and guidelines carefully. This team believe that ‘The disconnect between mind and body has reached unparalleled proportions… the tech family is the norm, grandma visits via the tiny screen.’

Give them stories poems and creative nonfiction and essays which discuss, explore or create along those lines. Submit online.

For poetry the team welcome submissions of ‘experimental/hybrid, visual poetry, traditional, prose poetry, found poetry, cycles of micro-poetry, and poetry written in a non-English language, with the requirement that an English translation be provided. Avoid long form, haiku, or erasure poetry, Submit no more than four poems as a doc or docx file. For flash fiction and flash nonfiction, 500-1,200 words, submit two pieces.
