    he man on this stamp is Alfonso XIII, who had been King of Spain from his birth in 1886 – there are stamps showing his boyish face dating from 1889. He came of age in 1902. The original version of this stamp, and the set of fourteen definitives it belongs to, dates from 1922. The name at the bottom
