Mike was fortunate to spend hours talking to his father about his war years and over the years came to hear many anecdotes and gain many insights. He has now brought these personal testimonials together with his father’s war diaries and combined them with considerable military history research, to provide us with an account of the duration of the war, told as a story from one man’s experiences, for an engaging read.
