Well the full lockdown is over for the moment and the way ahead is clear - it's online sales, writes Peter Love. The mammoth Cheffins Cambridge Machinery Sales on May 18 ay was a brilliant success. I was safely at home watching the sale from 10am to 5pm, wow! It went very well indeed. The old Masseys were flying out the door and some of the tractors that had hung around on the site certainly found new owners. Plus, more are going abroad than ever before, it all bodes well
By the time you read this, the Cheffins June sales would be over and I know it looks like a shortage of stock on the secondhand market is becoming a real problem.
The dealers have been doing great business as Andrew Hooker of Kent Tractors, was telling me recently. It has come to my attention that several vintage tractor barn finds have been made in Kent recently these are: Allis-Chalmers U, Case C and DC, International 10/20 and a 1936 John Deere A.
