Seized hinge

I bought a 1975 Mini 10 years ago and parked it up ready for when I had time to restore it. That time is now! It has been standing outside and the driver’s door hinges have rusted and it is not possible to open the door very far. I have put some oil on the hinges but it has not helped.

Mark 3 Mini door hinges do seize if not regularly lubricated. When the hinges are seized oil rarely works, as it does not penetrate sufficiently. I suggest you spray copious amounts of WD40 or similar right into both the top and bottom hinges. Use the plastic tube extension on the WD40 can to really penetrate the gaps in between the two sides of the hinge and
