    At last, it is possible to retro-replace the original Lucas 11 AC alternator as fitted to E-types, 420 and others of the period. Available from SNG Barratt, part number C25073U is brand new and uprated to deliver 70 amps, a much higher output than standard with no need for an additional regulator.
