Fuel consumption must be one of the major plus points for using a truck to shift loads on the road compared to a tractor and trailer combination. Higher legal payloads and faster speeds are also big attractions. Yet there are also disadvantages such as small tyres, increased ground pressure and not enough traction when things start to get greasy.

So, to counter some of the negatives, MAN and Fliegl have come up with the pictured rig, which should go some way to boosting infield performance. The rig is rolling on new
