Oil gauge

Q I recently purchased a 2010 MG TF135. So far all is OK except I have noticed the oil temperature gauge hardly moves even after a long run. Is this normal? If not, what can I do in order to rectify the situation.

A The readings that these oil temperature gauges display fall into two distinct camps that can be associated with several changes of gauge and sensor throughout the MGF and TF production period.
