MGB brake problem: pedal going to the floor

I own a 1976 MGB Roadster which I have had for several years. In the first year I suffered brake failure with the pedal going straight to the floor. When I pressed the pedal a second time the brakes were good. Over the years I have changed every part of the braking system: master cylinder, servo, rear brake cylinders, new copper piping, etc. Each time I have done this I can go months with no issues then again, suddenly, I get the same problem. I asked a garage who deals with classic cars to look at the car but, as with any intermittent fault, it wasn’t present for their examination so
