Flurry of launches at Lürssen

Lürssen has a reputation as the builder of many of the world’s largest yachts ( , and to name just a few). Adding to its impressive roster, in June the German yard splashed Project 1601, a 295ft yacht with angular exterior design by Espen Øino and an interior by Dölker + Voges. While large-scale projects often grab headlines and make for spectacular launches, the shipyard does not exclusively build vessels ) falls in that category. Designed by London-based studio Bannenberg & Rowell, it draws on the heritage of the game-changing (now ), penned by Jon Bannenberg in 1973. The custom-built yacht is filled with details and “museum quality” pieces. Delivery of this 182ft yacht – ordered in 2018 – is scheduled for 2021.
