K1v

The Kawai K1 digital synthesizer came on the market at the end of the 80s and combined short attack samples with waveforms created by additive synthesis. Combined with the crunchy Lo-Fi sound of its 8-bit converters, the K1 could produce especially interesting smoky, wheezy sounds as well as bell-like biting leads. And now, such vintage digital sounds are in great demand again. That makes it all the more pleasing that the developer Nils Schneider presents the Nils K1v, a free VST plug-in that faithfully reproduces the K1.
