I don’t normally like watching my own films, but the other day I caught up with an episode of , our series telling the tale of one village, Kibworth in Leicestershire, through history. As the story reached 1348, it became startlingly topical. Kibworth had the heaviest known losses from the Black Death of any English village, with two-thirds of its inhabitants dying.
