Closer Look: The Very Sunny Sunspot Study

Summarized briefly in last month’s News column (it came in on deadline) and discussed in this month’s Zero Bias editorial, we take a closer look here at a study that, in its own words, is “in stark contrast” to the fairly gloomy community consensus estimate of sunspot cycle 25 magnitude. – Ed.

The international consensus to study 270 years’ worth of solar observations, is challenging that consensus and predicting that Cycle 25 “will have a magnitude that rivals the top few since records began.”
